Privacy Policy — SEO PageRank

SEO PageRank is a browser extension that performs on-page SEO audits entirely inside your browser. This policy explains exactly what the extension accesses and what it does — and does not — do with it.

The short version

SEO PageRank does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no AI key. Every analysis runs locally on your device and the result never leaves your browser.

What the extension accesses

When you click the SEO PageRank icon on a page, it reads that page's DOM — its title, meta tags, headings, links, images, and structured data (Open Graph, Twitter Cards, JSON-LD) — in order to compute an SEO score. This reading happens on the page you explicitly acted on, at the moment you acted, and the data is used only to render the audit in the drawer. It is discarded when you close the page.

Permissions and why they are needed

  • activeTab — Grants temporary access to the current tab only when you invoke the extension, so it can read that page's content and compute the SEO score locally. Access is scoped to the tab you acted on and only for that action.
  • Host permissions (https://*/*, http://*/*) — Allow the content script that renders the audit drawer to run on any page you choose to analyze, since SEO audits apply to sites across the whole web. The extension still only reads a page when you actively invoke it, and it never sends page content anywhere.

Data collection

None. SEO PageRank does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, financial information, authentication information, personal communications, location, or any web activity. Nothing is stored remotely, and nothing is transmitted off your device.

Remote code

The extension contains no remotely hosted code. All JavaScript and assets are bundled in the package and reviewed by the Chrome Web Store. It does not download or execute code from any server.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
