Measure what's real

Indexability Checks

Paste a URL and we fetch the page ourselves, then read the directives that decide whether search engines are able to index it at all — status code, noindex, and where its canonical points.

  • Per-page verdict: indexable, blocked by noindex, dead, or canonicalized elsewhere
  • Runs alongside the full on-page audit — one check, the whole picture
  • Plain-English reason and a concrete fix for every problem found
  • Honest wording — our own check of the live page, clearly labeled, never guessed

The signals that decide indexability

Most pages that never show up in search are not losing a ranking contest — they are disqualified before it starts. A stray noindex on a template, a 404 behind a stale link, a canonical still pointing at the staging URL: each one quietly removes the page from consideration. We read all three straight off the page you give us.

Checked on demand, against the live page

Every run fetches the URL fresh, so what you see is the page as it is right now — after your last deploy, not before it. Run it again after a fix and the verdict updates immediately.

Honest by design

Every status we show is measured by our own fetch of the page and labeled as a local check. We tell you whether a page is indexable — we never pretend to know Google's private index, and we never invent a "PageRank weight" (Google stopped publishing PageRank in 2016).

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect a Google account?

No. There's no OAuth and no Search Console requirement — you give us a URL and we read the page the same way a search engine would.

Is this the same as Google's index coverage report?

No, and we're explicit about that. Google reports what it indexed; we verify what's indexable — status, noindex and canonical, for the page you asked about. Most coverage problems are caused by exactly these signals, and unlike index data they're fixable the moment you see them.

Does it crawl my whole site?

No — it checks the URL you submit. Run it on the pages that matter, or re-run it after a deploy to confirm a fix landed.
